He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl A. Hoot and Mildred Hoot (Ellenberger); his wife Nancy Kiesling Hoot; his daughter Deborah Hoot; and his siblings, Mary Alice Boso-Johnson, Dorothy Galliher, Patricia Hull and Richard Hoot.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Posey (David Conrad) and Joseph Hoot; his grandchildren, Brandon Posey and Lauren Hoot; his great grandchildren, Emma Posey and Mia Briggs; and his brother William Hoot.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church (515 48th St NW, Canton, OH 44709).
