As Dominic departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dominic may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dominic leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Matteis and Clarice De Matteis (D'Ascenzo); and his brothers, Baldo (Myrna) and Agostino. He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph DeMatteis (Maria) and Dora Gioiello (Fausto); and his sister-in-law Miranda De Matteis (Agostino). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rossi Family Funeral Home, Inc. (730 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Church (4940 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44708).
