He was predeceased by : his siblings, Nancy Ingwell and Edward McKenna III. He is survived by : his wife Alma "Faye" McKenna; his children, Sharon Harper (Don), David McKenna II (Janet Shields), Mark McKenna and Richard McKenna (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Adriane, Ashley, Anthony, Alexandra, Christopher, Sara, Grace and Braden. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory can be made to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
