He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Closson (Edna Blair Hanthorn) and Victoria Co; his siblings, Beulah, Blair, Lorna and Gayle; and his great grandchild Jewel.
He is survived by: his children, Miriam Couto (Dave), David Hanthorn (Sarah), Joanna Gray (Mark), Paul Hanthorn (Lynn) and Esther Plucinski (Scott). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
