She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Demos and Pauline Demos (Peterson); her brother Nick Demos; and her stepdaughter Brooke Diane Usner. She is survived by: her husband Jack Richard Usner. She is also survived by three nephews and three nieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Sophia's name, to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church.
