He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Ickes of North Lawrence; his granddaughters, Brooke, Claire, Mia and Zoey; his siblings, Susan Penrod (Clyde), Gretchen Hobart (Bob) and Tim Ickes; his nieces, Danielle and Stephanie; and his friend Tonya Kimbrough.
