As Barbara departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Shirey of Chuck; her son Shawn Shirey; and her siblings, Paul Hosler, Brad Hosler and Margaret "Peg" Morris.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Shirey (Sharon) of Hubert, NC, Brian Shirey (Tiffany) of Massillon, Terry Shirey (Kristine) of Cuyahoga and Shannon Shirey of Canton. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wackerly Funeral Home (1375 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44714).
