He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Fontes and Vivian Fontes (Gonsalves); his wife Mary E. Fontes (Perry); his son Alan C. Fontes; and his siblings, Carol Massey, John Fontes, Manuel Fontes, Edward Fontes and Julio Fontes.
He is survived by: his grandson LeRoy Jeter III; his children, Deborah Milini (Benny McLeod) of Canton, Carla M. Caddell of Norfolk, Alesia Tibbs (LeRon) of Canton, Alexandria Williams (Kenneth) of Canton, Adelino C. Fontes Jr. of Canton, Anthony C. Fontes Sr. (Jonice) of Norfolk and Armand C. Fontes (Candace) of Canton; his siblings, Sonja Nance (Tyrone), Anna Marie Williams (Carlton) and Richard Fontes (Rosemary); and his sister-in-law Mamie Fontes. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
