He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank S. Higgins and Bernadette Cunningham Higgins; his son Erin James Higgins; and his sister Mary M. Horvath. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte M. Scheckelhoff; his children, Shannon Higgins, Stephen Higgins (Fran), Patrick Higgins (Tracy) and Tim Higgins (Angela); his sister Marcella Kelly; his grandchildren, Skylar, Jason Higgins, Delaney Ricketts (Jacob), Taylor Higgins (Nate Ruberto), Tori Higgins (Josh VanGiesen), Stephen P. Higgins, Michelle Kahler (Shawn), Ryan Higgins (Sheri) and Erin Higgins (Derek Rutledge); and his great grandchildren, Blake, Jace, Myles, Mason, Khloe and Leah.
