She was predeceased by: her parents, James Garghill and Margaret Garghill; her husband Vernon C. Akins Sr.; and her brothers, James and William Garghill.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon C. Akins (Barbara) and Deborah S. Hill (Thomas Hill). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel (65 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
