She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Rochelle and Dennis Rochelle. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Wilson Abernethy; her grandchildren, Tim (Rachel), Katie (Ben), Christine, Jonathan, Benjamin (Aubrie), Emily, Jacob (Aspacia), Audra and Trevor (Cha); her great grandchildren, Archer, Lily of Madison Grace, TJ and Maria Grace; and her siblings, Virginia Ervin of Charlotte, NC, Elaine Davis of Durham, NC, Neil Rochelle of Durham, NC and Stanley Rochelle of Naples, FL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
