He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley P. and Mary Y. Kowalski (Galambus); his son David E. Kowalski; and his brothers, John and Stanley Kowalski.

He is survived by: his children, Edward D. Kowalski of North Jackson, Stephen W. Kowalski (Andrea) of Canfield, Belinda L. Allen of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew W. Kowalski of Jacksonville, FL and Terry L. Taylor (Rod) of Ravenna; and his brother Robert E. Kowalski of Morgantown. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel (65 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
