Vernon D. Pierce Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon D. Pierce of Canal Winchester, Ohio, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Vernon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vernon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Pierce and Lora Pierce (Petty). He is survived by: his children, Vernon D. Pierce Jr. (Cindy), Theresa Chambers (William) and Michael Pierce (Ellie); and his close friend Donna King. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home - Canal Winchester (650 W Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pierce Brothers Fund, care of VFW post, 10523 P.O. Box 172.
