He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Gates and Norma Gates (Moles). He is survived by: his wife Debbie Gates (Malone); his children, Megan Haas (John), Dehlia "Lia" Luikart (Nathan) and Stephen Bingman; his grandchildren, Braydon, Delaney and Harrison; and his sisters, Pam Spayde (John) and Vickie Coulson (Jay). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
