He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Eugene (Gene) and Eileen Kistler (Botts); and his siblings, Gary E. Kistler, Sharon L. Altman (Kistler) and Marilyn A. Harper (Kistler).
He is survived by: his wife Susan Kistler (Smith); his children, Scott E. Kistler (Karen) and Amy Shetrone (Robert); his stepson Jeff Hunter (Christy); his grandchildren, Julia (William), Hoogerwerff (William, Jr.), Dylan Kistler, Garrett Kistler (US Navy), Taylor Johnson (Ted), Sam Shetrone, Morgan Balsimo (Brady) and Madison Holbert (Logan); and his sister Denise Keefe (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home - Canal Winchester (650 W Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kingy's Pizza Pub (7470 Hill Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations can be made out to the funeral home for the funeral expenses.
