Katherine Baker Saunders Obituary

Katherine B. Saunders (Reffett) of Canal Winchester, better known as "Kathy" to friends and family, after a brief illness joined the angels in God's kingdom on Saturday February 10, 2024. Katherine retired, after 40+ years, from being an Executive Legal Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, cooking, and gardening. Katherine loved spending time with her family especially on holidays. Katherine was strong, beautiful, and inspiring. She was caring and giving not only to her family and friends but strangers as well. In her words: "Life has been very good to me!". "Katherine was preceded in death by her stepson Russell Lee Saunders; her sister Melissa Nelson; brother in-laws Chuck Scurlock and Don Nash.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 39 years Dan M. Saunders IV; her daughters Katherine Rae Peters (Andy) and Tracie Kanevsky (Steve); her grandchildren Alysa Kanevsky, Dominick Draper (Angela), Shawn Kanevsky, and Miranda Draper; her great-grand children Delanie Draper, Delilah Draper, Athena Predmore, Daxton Draper, and Asteria Predmore; her sisters Holly Ault and Christine Arnold; her brothers Luke Nelson (Sherry) and Tim James; her sister in-laws Becky West (Jay), Betty Scurlock, and Barbara Nash; her fur babies Charlie and Chase; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly. Services will be held privately. If you wish to pay your respects she requested you do it at one of her favorite places Sugar Gum Grove in Delaware State Park at your convenience.
