He was predeceased by: his parents, George, Jr. Gantzer and Ruth Gantzer (Altman); his sister Ruth Bennet; and his mother-in-law Angela Cerra. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gantzer (Cerra); his children, George E. Gantzer IV, Julia Grilli (Nicholas) and Jenna Dray (Nate); his grandchildren, Georgia Gantzer, Samuel Grilli, Gianna Grilli, Siena Dray, Serena Dray and Stella Dray; and his siblings, James Gantzer, Snookie Isaly (Bill), Russell Gantzer and Gregory Gantzer (Becky). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made in George's memory to the Band of Brothers Veterans Charity ℅ Steve Ash, 6556 Lakeview Circle, Canal Winchester, OH 43110, a group George was involved with in their condo community, or to the Columbus VA to support local veterans.
