He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Black and Olive M. Buzzard (Jones); and his sister Ruth Ann Black. He is survived by: his wife Patty Black; his children, Charlie Black, Jr. (Liz), Gregg Black (Sheri), Marietta and Diana Haynes (Bill); his grandchildren, Laurie Runk (Andy), Chaz Black, III (Hillary), Kristen Turner (Anthony), Vince Black (Jess), Nate Black (Elizabeth), Luke Black (Nathalia), Heather Haynes-Long (Nate Long), David Haynes, Greg Haynes (Jess) and Zach Haynes; and his sister-in-law Harriet Downey. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Lithopolis United Methodist Church or the Wagnalls Memorial in Charlie's memory.
