He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Scott Godwin; his parents, Jose and Kate; and his siblings, Rachel Whitley (Smith), James "Jim" Godwin, Cullie Godwin, Billy Godwin (Betty Jean), Bobby Godwin and Larry Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Godwin; his children, Cheri Gray (Guy), Gina Godwin-Burris, Cindy Noble (Rex), Lisa Brandly (Mike), Todd Godwin (Elisa) and Keela Vaughan (Shawn); his daughter-in-law Tina Godwin; his grandchildren, Greg, Katie, Joni, Brittany, Daniel, Jared, Baylee, Adam, Dustin, Ben, Magen, Troy, Laura, Mark, Jessica, Jeremy, Maranda, Kayla and Addison; his brother Doug Godwin (Linda); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Godwin, Judy Godwin and Luann Smith. He is also survived by thirty-eight great-grandchildren.
