It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bart J. Fernandez of Canal Winchester, Ohio, born in Bound Brook, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 86, on September 20, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Fernandez and Elsie Fernandez (Jannone); and his sister Dolores Longobardi. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Duncan of Norfolk, VA, Bart J. Fernandez of Norfolk, VA and Mark Fernandez of Norfolk, VA; his grandchildren, Andrew Duncan (Hollie), Corey Fernandez and Paige Fernandez; and his great grandchildren, Brycen and Colt.

Masks are required in the funeral home, and social distancing must be maintained.

Friends who wish may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association in Bart's memory.

“Please accept my sympathy on Bart's passing. I grew up with Bart and he would often take me for a ride in his brother-in- laws beautiful cars. My wife and I would often visit Bart's mother Elsie in Bound Brook. More recently, Bart would send me emails almost every day. I told Bart about my stage 4 prostate cancer and he told me about his bladder cancer. When I stopped getting those emails I started to worry. It was not until today that I was able to confirm his passing. Justo Amato (Tito)”
