We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2023, at the age of 80, James Anthony Raymond of Canal Fulton, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Raymond and Carolyn Ruth Raymond (Rodgers); and his wife Carol M. Raymond. He is survived by: his sons, James R. Raymond, Timothy Raymond (Tracy) and Matthew Raymond (Stherrim); his stepchildren, Shelley Earnsberger (Bowman), Daniel Bowman (Nicole) and Jeffrey Bowman (Michelle Moore); his grandchildren, Jamie Babbo (Raymond), Atticus, Finbar Raymond, Nicholas and Andrew Raymond; and his great grandchildren, Joscalynn, Ali, Henry and Autumn.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Stark County Humane Society, PO Box 7077, Canton, OH 44705.

“This is Candy Kinsey, one of the BFGoodrich group that still got together every couple of months for lunch or dinner. I am stunned he passed as we had just seen him around Aug. 1 at lunch in Fairlawn and had no idea this would happen. Being a nurse, he did tell me some personal things he was struggling with but seemed fine otherwise. I am so sorry. He was a fun guy and we all looked forward to seeing one another to catch up.
