He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Myers and Winifred Myers (Hubbard); and his daughter Jennifer Harris. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Sherry Myers-Bowman and James Alan Myers; his stepchildren, Rachel Lynne Berkey (Donald), John Matthew Kirk (Sally) and Bethany Anne Kirk (Tim Collins); his grandchildren, Jordan, Kyle, Kylie, Kloee, Fiona and Joni; and his brother Victor Maschmeier (Ernie).
