It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Elek (Canal Fulton, Ohio), who passed away on February 1, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Elek to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Joseph and Urban; her husband Aaron Elek; and her brothers, Joseph and Louis Urban.

She is survived by: her daughters, Eva Kover (Charles), Laura Elek-Abe (Ernest) and Lisa Ammerman (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Glenaron Fisher, Michael Fisher, Joseph Abe, Miyako Abe, Christopher Ammerman and Monika Ammerman.

Interment: Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, Ohio, In lieu of flowers, donations to either of the 2 churches would be greatly appreciated.

“Dear Eva, Laura, and Lisa, I was not well-acquainted with your mother, but, from the tributes at the funeral, I can see she was a remarkable person. It seems she lived the good life, in the best sense of the words. I've been told, and found it to be true, that life is never the same when a parent leaves forever.
