He was predeceased by: his parents, George Macala and Mary Macala (Dubos). He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, Adam Macala of Boardman, Stephanie Yungen (Scott) of Salem and Melissa Bartscher (Travis) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Brianna Bartscher, Peyton, Elliot Youngen and Tristan Smith; his brothers, Attorney Ronald G. Macala (Sally) of Canton and Kenneth A. Macala (Maryann) of Boardman; and his sister-in-law Lori Reese-Rogers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wasko Funeral Home (216 Coitsville Rd, Campbell, OH 44405). A prayer will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church (463 Robinson Rd, Campbell, OH 44405).
