He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Carney and Catherine Mahoney Carney; his wife Carol Carney; his children, Tom Carney (Karen) of Austintown, Attorney Mary Jo (Rick Ivas) of St. Petersburg, Kathy Skoufatos (Attorney Nick) of Poland, Kevin Carney (Suzanne) of Poland, Michael Carney (Susan) of Poland and Carol Lopez of Campbell; his sister Elaine Prochenets of Hermitage; and also Katie Dailey (Jack) of Richmond. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and in-laws, several close and dear cousins, and the best neighbors.
