He was predeceased by: his father Edison Witt; his stepmother Virginia Witt; his mother Melva Parsley (Davidson); his stepfather Fred Parsley; and his stepbrothers, Eugene Bratcher and William Bratcher.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Kay "Debbie" Witt (Boyle); his children, David C. (Heather Witt), Miranda E. (Corbin Zickefoose), Megan D. (Paul Shadle) and Blessed; his grandchildren, Caitlin Witt, Ada Zickefoose, Allison Zickefoose and Corwin Shadle; his stepgrandchildren, Jamie Zickefoose and Dalton Sizemore; his siblings, Irene (Gary Ross), Geneva (Bill Dillon), Allene (Nat Robertson), Joyce (Jon Bowman) and Rick; and his sister-in-law Leeann Witt.
