He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sills and Emma Sills (Watkins); his wife Floretta M. Sills (Stage); his daughter Beverly Clark; his siblings, Opal, Bertha, Bonnie, Norma, Marjorie, Mary, James, Thomas and Homer; and his great grandchild Taylor Clarkston.
He is survived by: his children, William "Bub" Patterson (Brenda) of Cambridge, Thomas Patterson (Lucie) of Westerville, Gloria Liebfreund (Sam) of Pataskala and Brenda Grywalsky (Jim) of Columbus; and his son-in-law Allen Clark of Pataskala. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
