We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2020, at the age of 83, Vance M. Bates of Cambridge, Ohio, born in Caldwell, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Bates and Eileen Bates (Cooper); and his wife Patricia Ellen Bates (McDiffitt). He is survived by: his children, Jeff Bates, Jerry Bates (Lori) of Cambridge, Jan Bates (Tara) of Cambridge and Judie Wendorf (Jeff) of Hartville; his brother Sam Bates of New Concord; his grandchildren, Jason Bates (James Diehl), Jodi Miller (Natalie), Melissa Beaver (Matt), John Bates (Michelle), Kasey Bates, Jarrod Wendorf (Katie), Janelle Wendorf and Gabe Kafury; and his great grandchildren, Kaylie Oldson, Kamden Oldson, Karsyn Oldson, Dylan Beaver, Isaac Beaver, Kohl Beaver and Jordan Bates.
