He was predeceased by: his parents, James K Thompson and Anna Bernice Thompson (Hyde); his brothers, Donald Thompson and Dean Thompson; his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Thompson; and his great-nephew Jordan Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Thompson (Roe); his daughters, Carol Jean Fabian (Randy) of Cambridge and Sherry Ann Watson (Kevin) of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Brandi Fabian (Matt Scurlock), Kevin Michael Arnold Sr. (Sara), Shelby Fabian (Kyle Cosgrave), Kristen Dowling (Tyler) and Kelsey Watson (Josh Marquis); and his great grandchildren, Braxton Stilwell, Braylee Pethtel, Whyatt Dowling of Kevin, Langston Cosgrave, Forrest Arnold, Qwentyn Marquis and Brinley Scurlock. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
