He was predeceased by: his parents, Orton Vance and Jessie Vance (Marsh); his brother Leonard Vance; and his son-in-law Daniel Lingle. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vance (Carpenter); his children, Judy Lingle of Byesville and Sandy Stewart (Jake) of Cambridge; his brother David Vance (Corky) of Norwich; and his grandchildren, Michael Burt (Jan) of Cambridge, Bo Burt (Ann) of Cambridge, Jody Smith (Mike) of Byesville, Amy Stewart (Jason) of Cambridge and Angie Muncy (Tommy Perkins) of Byesville. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; twenty-seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
