He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter William and Emma Buchsieb (Held); his wife Bebe; his children, Carol Padden (Bill) of Cambridge, Ohio, Sara Petievich (Michael) of St. Croix, U. S, Richard H. Buchsieb, Jr. (Erin) of Columbus, Ohio and Laura Stephens (Joseph) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Emma Rumberg, Zoe Petievich, Anna Rumberg, George Rumberg and Willem Buchsieb; his brother Walter C.; his sister-in-law Betty Buchsieb of Columbus; his nephews, Chuck Buchsieb and Jay Robinson; and his niece Christine Bardon.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dick's name to the Guernsey County OSU Alumni Club Scholarship Fund, the First United Methodist Church (641 Steubenville Avenue, Cambridge, OH 43725), The Living Word Outdoor Drama (PO Box 1481, Cambridge, OH 43725), or to the charitable organization of choice.

“To the Family. I would like for you to know that I thought the world of Dick and your Mother. The fun we had together, the business dealing's with Dick. The times he was driving on he way to the games and turning his wipers on and off during a drizzle rain because he did not want to pay a dealer to fix them. The time we were all at Ohio Agg meeting and he was late, but actually he was there early, but was in the wrong room for a long time. Loved him and will miss him.”
