He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Edward Gipson; and his wife Carla Gipson. He is survived by: his mother Helen Rea Gipson; his brothers, Robert Gipson (Julie) and Jeffery Gipson (Marjorie Cox); and his stepchildren, Amanda Perkins, Andrea Gipson, Sara Gipson (Travis Furbee), Phillip Gipson, Noah Gipson, Matthew Rausenberg (Katrina) and Mark Rausenberg (Tiffanie).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio.
