He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Shaner. He is survived by: his mother Loveda Shaner (Gibbony) of Russia; his wife Debbie Shaner (Wilks); and his siblings, Steven Shaner (Debbie) of Bradford and Alice Shaner of Russia. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
