He was predeceased by: his father Fred Thompson; his wife Susan Thompson (Gould); and his close friend Becky Callihan. He is survived by: his mother Norma Thompson (Blair) of West Virginia; his daughters, Maria Sutor (Kit) of Columbia, SC and Mindy Huffman (Aaron) of Hartville, MO; his siblings, John Thompson (Charlotte) of West Virginia and Cheryl Davis (Bubby) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Hailey, Abby, Brooke, Christian, Layla, Taylor and Dakota; his great grandchild Kingston; his close friends, Albert Hardy and Rod Ward; and his pet Kobe.
