We bid farewell to James H. Pethtel of Cambridge, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 19, 2024 at the age of 88. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pethtel and Helen Christine Pethtel (Decker); his sister Mary Jane Matthews; and his grandson Joshua C. Shade. He is survived by: his wife Betty Pethtel (Phillips); his daughter Christine Saum (Stephen) of Cambridge; his granddaughters, Amanda Elizabeth Masters (Mark) of Cambridge and Jessica Louise Johnston (Robert) of Kimbolton; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Elizabeth Steed, Blake Austin Steed and Reagan Louise Johnston; and his brothers, William Pethtel (Pati) of Cambridge Jerry and Tim Pethtel (Louann) of Cambridge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
