He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Burns and Alma Burns (Camp); his siblings, Lowel V. Burns, Virgil Burns, Francis Bowen, Mary Lupo-Breech and Martha V. Robbins; his son-in-law Robert Baker; and his granddaughter Karly Eldredge.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Burns (White); his children, James Michael Burns (Kim Luckey) of Florida, Timothy D. Burns (Susan) of Mexico, Benjamin Burns (Angela) of Medina and Sandra Baker of Florida; and his stepchildren, John Eldredge of Cambridge, Scott Eldredge (Tina) of Cambridge, Kelly Murrey (Jeffrey) of Gibsonia, PA and Karen Yanico (Michael) of Cambridge. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
