Cindy Flood Ries wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sad to hear of Chris's passing. He was my second cousin and always seemed so much younger than I am although it's only a 4-year difference in age. So many great times of Tim, Jeff, Mark, and Chris, and sometimes Beth and Lori, playing at our house with my brother Scott and me (Harold and Bernadine Flood's farm in Quaker City). So many stories from his Grandma Meighen (Boudle) about all her grandkids. Sending prayers of comfort and peace to all the family. (Cindy Flood Ries)”

John Howe wrote a sympathy message

“When I began my job at John Glenn HS, Chris and I hit it off from day one, we both loved sports and talking about the game. He would tell me about one of the grand kids from Shenandoah how he would score but had to work on not turning the ball over. Also another grand child who works his tail off on the farm. He was a proud grandfather for sure. I'm a supporter of Michigan and that didn't sit well with Mr. Buckeye so with that being said here's to you my friend. GO BUCKS!!!”
