She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Thompson and Thelma Thompson (Braden). She is survived by: her husband Wayne E. Fairchild; her daughters, Lisa Cunningham (Shane) of Cambridge and Wendy Biddle (Philip) of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Winona, Amanda, Kaitlyn and Brayden; and her great grandchild Addie.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cambridge City Schools music program or to Hospice of Guernsey.
