With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Eugene Cornelius of Caledonia, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lawrence Eugene leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Lawrence Eugene may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Cornelius and Mary Chapman (Williams-Cornelius) of Marion; and his brother Charles Cornelius. He is survived by: his sons, Vance Edward Cornelius (Kimberly) of Marion and Vincent Cornelius (Lorena Medina) of Columbus; his granddaughter Jessica Cornelius; and his great grandchild Dorrance "Jay" Hill IV.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (318 Mt Vernon Ave, Marion, OH 43302). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel (318 Mt Vernon Ave, Marion, OH 43302). A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Chapel Heights Memorial Garden (2622 Marion-Upper Sandusky Rd, Marion, OH 43302).
