He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ed" Saling and Genevieve "Genny" Miller Saling; his parents-in-law, Roy and Lois "Fanny" Gildow; his siblings, Mike Saling, Carol Heavner and Melinda Antill; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Arbogast and Ron Heavner.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Gildow Saling. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
