We bid farewell to Vernon Nelson Wheeler Sr. of Cadiz, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Vernon Nelson touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Charles F. Wheeler and Rose A. Wheeler; his children, Charles Tracy Wheeler and Trudi Lynn Wheeler; and his siblings, Charles Frederick Wheeler III and Lillian Carol Conway (Wheeler).

He is survived by: his wife Dianna Muze Wheeler; his son Vernon Nelson Wheeler Jr.; his stepchildren, Monty Muze of Hopedale, Kevin Ellis Redman Jr. (Kara) of Galena, OH, Beverly Jean Redman of Tampa, FL and Cynthia May Christian of Cadiz, OH; and his siblings, David Michael Wheeler of Columbus, OH, Steven Douglas Wheeler of Columbus, OH, Gerald Lee Wheeler of Columbus, OH, Annette Louise Cansler (Robert) and Terrie Fitzhugh (Paul) of Martins Ferry, OH.. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. James A.M.E. Church, 300 E. Market St., Cadiz, OH.
