He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Basich and Helen Basich. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his brother Louis Basich (Irene Basich); his son Tim Basich; his daughter-in-law Shelley Basich; his daughter Laurie Basich; his son-in-law William Watkins; his granddaughters, Bethany Martin (Eli), Jenni Hulburt (Sean), Heather Sorg (Eric), Christina Watkins and Jessica Watkins; and his great grandchildren, Urban and Warren Sorg.
