He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sandy and Mary Katherine Wilfong Sandy; and his siblings, Truman, Dorsey, Glen, Hoye, Ronnie, Jerry Sandy, Wanda, Wilda and Maxine.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna Watkins (Jay) and Joshua Sandy (Stacey); his brother Macel Sandy; his grandchildren, Ashley and Madison; and his sisters, Judy and Shirley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
