He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Wilt and Catherine Minnie Wilt (Clark); his son Michael Wilt Jr.; and his siblings, Rosie Bingaman (Ken), Darwin Wilt (Kathy), Daniel Wilt and Naomi Policka (Richard).

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Donovall Wilt; his children, Billie Jo Allison (Ryan Stewart), Connie Rivera and Brandy Wilt (Kevin Mallernee); and his sister Eunice Fassio (Ron). He is also survived by great grandchildren and many friends.
