He was predeceased by: his parents, Nina Bower (McGuire) and Harold Eugene Bower; his former wife Thelma Bower (George); and his siblings, Elsie Leeser (Maurice) and Robert Bower (Loudora).
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Overholt Berger); his children, Robert Bower (Sylvia) of Hilliard, Ohio, Gary Bower (Debra) of Garland, Texas, Jackie McIntosh (J. D.) of Columbia Station, Ohio, Jody Lenko (Bryan) of Delaware, Ohio and James Berger of Rootstown, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Jill Wagner (Brent), Sarah Harkins, Justin McIntosh (Jessica), Jaymee Skelly (Travis), Jared McIntosh, Travis Baez, Darren Romshak (Jackie), Brad Romshak (Laci), Jordan Buso (Cory), Paige Byers (Adam) and Hilliary Hanner (Devin).
