He was predeceased by: his father Mark W. Smith. He is survived by: his mother Charlene Higgins; his wife Kimberly Miller Smith; his children, Katie McMahon (Wessley) of Bethesda, Kiera Smith and Kaleb Smith of Adena; and his siblings, Mark Smith (Christina) of Cadiz and Melissa McKown (Brad) of Virginia.
