He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Applegate and Vareda E. McIntyre Strean Applegate; his son Charles R. Strean; and his son-in-law Steve Barnhart. He is survived by: his wife Edith E. Siegl Strean; his children, Michael D. Strean (Sondra Sutherland) of Wintersville, Ross A. Davis of New Philadelphia, Kelly S. Anderson (Calvin) of Indianapolis, Lisa Suk (Tim) of Delaware, Brenda Kish (Gary) of Smithfield and Audrey Barnhart of Cadiz; and his daughter-in-law Ruth Strean of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
