He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Short and Emma Short (Furrow); and his siblings, Robert Short and Linda Lockwood. He is survived by: his wife Kay Short; his stepsons, Brian Jones, Kevin Jones and James Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Chanda Jones, Briana Jones, Jessica Jones, Alainna Zimmerman and Abram Zimmerman; and his siblings, Eugene Short (Wendy) and Diana Whitmer (Mark).
