He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt W. Lambert and Corella Ruth Lambert (Pudder); his grandparents, Earl, Hazel Pudder and Mabel Scott; his siblings, Wayne, Dena, Greg and Karen Lambert; and his grandson Alten Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer L. Bates; his stepdaughter Jordan Bates of Byesville; his sister Jody Hafner (Carl) of Toledo; and his grandchildren, Evan Bates Grimm and Tommi Bates Grimm. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
