She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul W. Unklesbay and Hazelle L. Unklesbay (Best); and her husband Joseph Lanning. She is survived by: her children, Colin Lanning (Huong) of Byesville, Danira Hammack of Columbus, Valarie Kirby (Garry) of Byesville and Mardene Oliver (Larry) of Byron, GA; her grandchildren, Keith Kirby (Tami), Kelly Thawley (Chas), Kenneth Kirby (Bethany), Joe Oliver (Jennifer), Alison Oliver (Kyle) and Samuel Lanning; her great grandchildren, MacKenzie Kirby, Taylor Kirby, Becca Kirby, Noah Kirby, Brantley Thawley, Jamieson Kirby, Ava Kirby, Calla Kirby, Bryant Kirby, Leila Kirby, Issac Oliver and Isabella Oliver; and her niece Sandy.
As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions in Marcelene's name be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 245 S 6th St, Byesville OH 43723.
